Starting June 2021, we will plant one mangrove tree for every reservation to Restaurant Moment.
We have initiated a collaboration with Global Climate Institute to be part of re-planting mangrove forest in the Yangoon Coastal Region in Myanmar. Since 1980, Myanmar has lost 1 million Ha of mangrove forest, leaving only 16% - and the destruction continues. Myanmar is seriously threatened by loss of land, and at the same time, agricultural areas are flooded and made barren because of sea salt pollution.
Mangrove trees are part of securing the coast line, and at the same time, they are a very biodiverse home for many water and land living creatures. Besides, mangrove trees store great amounts of CO2 in soil
On this page, we will share pictures and information on how the project progresses.
